Ryan is a certified trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness. His philosophy toward training is similar to Krav Maga in that if it works, then use it. Every person is different and every day is as well. Why limit ourselves to just one discipline or method? He specializes in developing workouts that directly improve fight performance. Having trouble with your buck and roll? Let’s do dead lifts!
Kate is our resident “endurance specialist.” When she’s not teaching our Free Women’s Self Defense Class or leading a conditioning workout, you’ll probably find her getting ready for a multi-day race in the mountains. Kate has completed some of the most challenging national and international running events, often in extreme weather conditions, including the Bigfoot 200, Tahoe 200, and Ultra Fiord 100M. She believes that basic self-defense skills are essential for independence and fear moderation in an imperfect society, and looks forward to helping all new members get in touch with their best selves.
